BPSC Paper Leak: Candidates For BPSC Prelims Protest After Alleged Paper Leak In Aurangabad

Candidates for the BPSC Prelims staged a protest after there were allegations of a paper leak in Aurangabad.

New Delhi: Candidates appearing for the Bihar Public Service Commission examination(BPSC) are protesting at an examination centre in Aurangabad over an alleged paper leak on Sunday. A report by ANI says that the students staged the protest after the seal of the question paper was allegedly broken before the distribution of the paper “There’re 18 centres here. In one centre students alleged that seal of the question paper was broken. We tried to pacify the protesting students but when they did not listen. We have asked them to give a written complaint. We’re probing the matter,” said Saurabh Jorawal, District Commissioner (DM), Aurangabad. ALSO READ: Amartya Sen Accuses Visva Bharti VC For 'Acting At The Behest Of Central Government' A committee has been formed under Additional District Magistrate (ADM) to look into the matter. Jorawal said in the report that the administration has asked the centre in charge to submit a detailed report about the matter. He also did not talk about whether the exams will be canceled due to the development. He said in the report that since cancellation of the examination is not under his jurisdiction he can not comment on it. The report of the investigation will be sent to the higher authorities. The 66th BPSC Prelims was held on Sunday. The exam took place in a single shift from 12 pm to 2 pm. In Bihar, to make it easier for candidates to travel the East Central Railway (ECR) also started special trains.
