Odisha Class 10 And 12 Board Exams 2021 To Be Held In Offline Mode

The Odisha government has confirmed that the Class 10 and 12 Board exams will be held through offline mode.

New Delhi: The Odisha government has confirmed that Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2021 will be held via the offline mode or pen and paper mode. Speculations were rife that next year the exams will be held online but according to media reports, Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Dash issued a statement saying that BSE Odisha Class 10 Board Exam and CHSE Odisha Class 12 Board Exams will only be held in offline mode. The state government has also said that the exams will be held according to the guideline provided by the  Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Dash said that instead of the usual February and March, the exams may be held through an extended schedule. The Odisha government also plans to reopen class 9 and above soon. On Wednesday the CBSE said the 2021 board exams will be conducted only in written mode (pen and paper) and not online. The education board also stated that no final decision regarding dates of examination and other details has been taken so far. However, it said that consultation with various stakeholders is underway and a final call will be made shortly. The officials of the board also said that if students were not able to sit for practicals in classes before the exams, alternatives would be explored. "No final decision has been taken regarding the dates for the conduct of board exams, and consultations with stakeholders are still in process. The exams, as and when they are conducted, will be in the written mode and not in an online mode. The exams will be conducted following all Covid protocols," a senior CBSE official said.
