Bihar: Rs 10,000 Reward For Government School Students Securing First Division In 10th Boards Announced
Eligible students will be required to register for the scholarship scheme till August 30, on medhasoft.bih.nic.in
The Bihar government has announced a reward of 10,000 for students who pass Class 10th Board Examination with First Division from Bihar government schools. The state education department notified the announcement through X (formerly Twitter) today. “10,000 is given through DBT to the boys and girls of 10th class who have passed in the first division from the government school of the state,” the Bihar Education Department said. The cash reward will be distributed among eligible students under the Mukhyamantri Balak Balika Protsahan Yojna (MBBPY).
Notably, the Bihar government’s prize scheme for students securing first division in 10th boards comes as a bid to promote education among young students and motivate them for higher studies. However, candidates must note that in order to claim the said reward under the MBBPY, they will have to register on the official website of the scheme - medhasoft.bih.nic.in. The last date to register is August 30, 2023.

Steps To Apply Bihar Board 10th Scholarship
- Visit the official website - medhasoft.bih.nic.in
- Read the instructions carefully and make sure that you have all the prerequisites in place
- On the homepage of the website, click on the ‘Apply’ button
- In the new page that opens, check the acknowledgement boxes and click on ‘Continue’
- Register online by filling in all the required details in the registration form
- Verify your mobile number and email address
- After registration, wait for the bank account verification to complete
- After successful verification of your bank account, you will receive a User ID and Password
- Login to the portal again with your User ID and Password
- After logging in, apply for the scholarship and final submit the form
- Take a printout of the application confirmation page for reference
- Wait for the bank payment
