BHU Placements 2024: Management Students Secure Top Roles; Highest Offer Rs 23.5 LPA

BHU Placement 2024: The Institute of Management Studies at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducted its campus placement drive for 2024 graduates. This year, 165 management students got 181 offers. The average salary package offered was Rs 11.1 lakh per annum (LPA), with the highest package reaching Rs 23.5 LPA.

Dr Ashutosh Mohan, the placement coordinator at the faculty of management studies – Banaras Hindu University, said: “Students from MBA, MBA international business, and MBA agribusiness earned successful placements, with an incredible average package of 11.1 lakhs among the 181 offers received by 165 students, establishing a new benchmark for the forthcoming year.”

The recruitment drive featured a lineup of over 65 companies, including Infosys, Genpact, Cognizant, Mahindra Finance, Adani Wilmar, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicle, Reliance Retail, Federal Bank, IDBI Bank, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, ICICI Bank, Digit General Insurance, Visa Steel, Bajaj Asset Management, UNIQLO, Amul, and Escorts Kubota.

Around 36% of the students were offered executive and management trainee roles, with various sub-profiles including MT – Sales and Marketing, MT – Finance, MT – Business Excellence, MT – Strategy and Projects, MT – Alliance and Electronic Payments, and MT – Retail Operations.

Additionally, 21% of students secured Associate or Senior Consultant roles, while 13% were placed in Assistant or Deputy Manager positions.

In the agribusiness sector, DCM Shriram Farm Solutions recruited several MBA (Agribusiness) students, with numerous students also receiving pre-placement offers.

Ashish Bajpai, Director at FMS-BHU, commended the team's efforts and underscored the pivotal role of faculty members in preparing students as industry-ready professionals. He praised students for their enthusiasm and commitment to making substantial contributions in HR, Finance, and Marketing domains.

HP Mathur, Dean & Head of Corporate Affairs & Placement at FMS-BHU, expressed gratitude for the consistent trust shown by recruiters. He noted that 36% of students secured roles as Executive or Management Trainees, with diverse profiles in Sales & Marketing, Finance, Business Excellence, Strategy & Projects, Alliance & Electronic Payments, and Retail Operations. Mathur acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the student placement coordination team, comprising Abhijeet Chakraverty, Harshita Sharan Srivastava, Pranjal K Rai, Abhishek Yadav, Parul Bahotra, and Premanshu Singh, throughout the placement season.
