Cherish Mahatma Gandhi's Noble Spirit Of Satyagraha: South Korea Foreign Min Pays Homage At Rajghat
South Korea's Foreign Minister paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat while recalling his preachings on the second day of his two-day visit to India.
South Korea Foreign Minister Park Jin on the second day of his two-day India visit, paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi on Saturday at Delhi's Rajghat. After paying homage, he said that he always cherishes Gandhi's noble spirit of Satyagraha and hopes that South Korea and its special strategic partner India together can contribute to freedom, peace and prosperity of the world, reported news agency ANI.
"I hope we can pursue contributive diplomacy together with India, which is Korea's special strategic partner to contribute to freedom, peace and prosperity to the world," said the Foreign Minister to ANI.
The news agency posted a short video of Jin placing a garland made of flowers at Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Rajghat and observing silence.

The minister is on a two-day official visit to India with an aim to make “substantive progress” in the special strategic partnership between the two countries.

On Friday, the South Korea Foreign Minister met Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and had a discussion on wide-ranging topics such as steady progress in bilateral ties, political contacts, trade and investments, defense, S&T, energy, space, semiconductors, emerging technologies, and cultural exchanges. They also talked about the visions of both nations, policies in the Indo pacific, and the Ukraine conflict.
The South Korean minister also called on the Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar during his visit and had discussions on the importance of cultural and people-to-people ties in strengthening the India-South Korea Special Strategic Partnership.
