'No Objection': Kejriwal After Posters Against Him Surface In Delhi Day After Crackdown On Anti-Modi Posters

BJP leaders have put up posters against CM Kejriwal. Reacting to the posters against him, Kejriwal said that he has no objection to posters that have been put up demanding his ouster.

A day after the "Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao" poster appeared across Delhi, BJP leaders have put up posters against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Reacting to the posters against him on Thursday, Kejriwal said that he has no objection to posters that have been put up demanding his ouster and that those behind it "should not be arrested". Posters reading "Kejriwal Hatao, Delhi Bachao" (Remove Kejriwal, Save Delhi) have been put up across the national capital by BJP leaders, as reported by the news agency PTI.

After the posters targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared, the Delhi Police arrested six people and registered 49 FIRs in connection with the anti-Modi posters.

In a tweet, Kejriwal said, "People have put up posters against me in Delhi. I have no objection to this. In a democracy, the public has every right to express their views in favour of or against their leader. Those who put up posters against me should not be arrested." The posters against Kejriwal were put up by BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa who accused Kejriwal of being "dishonest" and "corrupt".

"He is involved in scams in education, health, and excise departments. We are honest people and we are not scared of admitting that we have put up posters against him," Sirsa said.  Sounding the bugle for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party has said it will kickstart a 'Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao' campaign from the Jantar Mantar here on Thursday.

In a press briefing, weighing on the poster row, the Delhi CM said, "Why is PM Modi so scared? Why is he so insecure? This is a normal poster, anyone can put such posters in a democracy," as quoted by the news agency ANI.

The Delhi CM and his Punjab counterpart and fellow AAP leader Bhagwant Mann will jointly address a public meeting at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on Thursday. The public meeting is being organised in the backdrop of the arrests made by Delhi Police in connection with the posters targeting PM Modi. Sharing more details about the meeting on Thursday, senior AAP leader and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, at a press briefing on Wednesday said the AAP was undeterred by the Delhi Police crackdown and will raise the slogan 'Modi Hatao Desh Bachao' from the stage, as reported by ANI.
