Delhi: Minimum Temperature Settles At 6 Deg C, Air Quality In 'Poor' Category

New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a cold Saturday morning as the minimum temperature in the city settled at six degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 91 per cent, according to the meteorological department.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
The weatherman predicted mainly clear skies for the day with the maximum temperature likely to settle around 25 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, the minimum temperature settled at 6.2 degrees Celsius while air quality was recorded in the 'poor' category. According to the India Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature settled one notch above the season's average at 24.5 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity oscillated between 91 and 39 degrees Celsius, it said. The weather office has predicted mainly clear skies on Saturday with mist in the morning.
The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to be around 24 and 5 degrees Celsius respectively.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi was recorded in the 'moderate' category on Thursday as the maximum temperature settled at 23.4 degrees Celsius.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature settled at 6.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The relative humidity at 5.30 pm was 54 per cent, the IMD bulletin said.
According to the data by Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) on Thursday stood at 189 (moderate category).
