Sambit Patra Accuses Arvind Kejriwal Of 'Murdering' People's Trust, Says 'Will Expose His Pack Of Lies'

BJP Leader Sambit Patra during a press conference on Tuesday said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was scared and, hence, was skipping the ED's summons in the Delhi liquor policy case.

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Arvind Kejriwal for "murdering the trust of thousands of people" and stated that the party will expose the Delhi CM's lies with hard evidence. He stated: "Kejriwal has murdered the trust of thousands of people, truth and development, and the 'blood' is spread all over and that is why summons have been sent to him. We will expose his pack of lies today."

He also took a jibe at CM Kejriwal for skipping the summons sent to him by the Enforcement Directorate. He said that the AAP and Kejriwal, who used to talk about starting investigations and say "summon sammaan hota hai [summons are an honour]" are now running away from the EDs calls.

'6 Months, 9 Summons, 18 Excuses'

The BJP leader stated: "Sometimes I am surprised at these people who change their colour like this... They are afraid of summons. Today, they have become shameless. In the last six months, nine summons have been delivered to Arvind Kejriwal and they [AAP] have presented 18 excuses to skip them."

He further accused Kejriwal of disrespecting the constitutional provisions of India by not turning up even after being summoned nine times.

"Till March, without respecting even a single summon, Arvind Kejriwal disrespects the constitutional sections of India, the structures created by the Constitution, they do not respect their validity... Arvind Kejriwal has murdered the trust of thousands and crores of people, he has murdered the truth," Patra added.

The Delhi CM was granted bail by the Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday against arrest for skipping the repeated summons by the Enforcement Directorate in a case related to the alleged excise policy scam. However, the ED sent him the 9th summon on Sunday, asking him to appear for questioning regarding the case before March 21.
