Arvind Kejriwal 'Trembling With Fear' After CBI Summon: BJP Calls Delhi CM 'Kingpin Of Liquor Scam'
The BJP dared Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to undergo a lie-detector test over questions pertaining to the AAP government's alleged liquor scam.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal calling him "the kingpin of the liquor scam". "The moment Arvind Kejriwal was called for questioning by the CBI, apparently, he started trembling with fear. It's quite clear that Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin of the liquor scam," BJP's Gaurav Bhatia said.
The BJP spokesperson highlighted that the session court rejected Sisodia's bail stating "Manish called the then Excise Commissioner personally to grant L1 to Indospirit's Sameer Mahendroo." "Why would a former Minister compel an Excise Commissioner to give L1 to a particular person/entity?" he asked.
Bhatia asked the Delhi Chief Minister to answer five questions: "Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, you were presiding over the meeting in which this liquor scam was hatched... so why shouldn't you be blamed? Arvind Kejriwal ji tell the public whether you talked to Sameer Mahendru on Facetime or not?"
"Tell the public what is your relationship with the liquor traders. Your liquor policy was so good then why was it withdrawn? Arvind Kejriwal's only work is looting, extortion, and corruption. Arvind Kejriwal is a staunch cheater ('khattar beimaan')," he remarked.
The BJP dared CM Kejriwal to undergo a lie-detector test saying, "Answer the questions that are being asked. If your own standards are imposed on you, then you should take a polygraph test, take a lie detector test to make everything clear. But you will not do this because you are scared and nervous."

CBI To Question Arvind Kejriwal Tomorrow
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will question Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the now-withdrawn liquor policy case on Sunday. Kejriwal has been summoned by the CBI at 11 am tomorrow at the agency's headquarters in Delhi.
AAP leader and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has already been arrested by the CBI in the case. Sisodia has also been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering related to the alleged excise scam.
The excise policy 2021-22 was scrapped in August last year and the Delhi L-G later asked the CBI to probe alleged irregularities.
The CBI has alleged that the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22 to grant licences to liquor traders favoured certain dealers who had allegedly paid bribes for it, an accusation strongly refuted by the AAP.
