Prior to the temple visit, the CM conducted a review of ongoing development initiatives and law and order arrangements at the Circuit House. CM Reviews Infra Projects To Boost Connectivity In Varanasi
The overbridge, located between Hardattpur and Rajatalab along the Varanasi–Prayagraj rail section, spans 649.44 metres in length and 7.5 metres in width. It is being built at a cost of ₹42.22 crore. CM Adityanath instructed officials to complete the remaining work on the structure by August this year.
The broader road project, which involves upgrading an 11.8 km stretch from Mohansarai to Cantt and constructing a six-lane service lane along the Mohansarai–Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar–Chakia route, is nearly 89% complete. This ambitious effort, valued at ₹412.53 crore, is expected to ease traffic congestion and boost connectivity in the region. The CM directed PWD engineers to fast-track progress and ensure timely completion.
Audio Guide Launched At Kashi Vishwanath Temple
After the inspection, the Chief Minister visited two sacred sites, Kashi Kotwal Baba Kalbhairav and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, where he performed religious rituals and received blessings. At the Kashi Vishwanath temple, he officially launched the audio guide service to help devotees understand the spiritual and historical significance of the complex.
Yogi Adityanath’s visit underscores the state’s commitment to infrastructural growth and spiritual tourism in Varanasi, a city that continues to evolve as both a religious hub and a developmental model.
