Woman's Chopped Body Parts Found Near Pune's Satara Village, Cops Probe Black Magic Angle
In Maharashtra, a woman's dismembered body was discovered near a sugarcane farm, with the torso missing. Police are investigating a possible link to black magic.

In a horrific incident, the dismembered body of woman was found on Friday in Maharashtra's Satara district, as reported by news agnecy PTI.
As per the details furnished by a senior cop, a part of the victim's head and lower limbs were found close to a sugarcane farm near Vidani village. Senior Inspector Sunil Mahadik of Phaltan police station, while providing information about the gruesome incident, said that the women's torso is missing.
The police official said that an angle of black magic was being probed. "The body parts are decomposed. All angles, including that of black magic and superstition, are being probed," the official said.
Last month, in December 2024, four people were arrested by Ghaziabad Police for reportedly killing a man and using his skull for alleged occult practices over the directions of two tantriks in the aspiration that they would receive at least "Rs 50 to 60 crore" after performing the rituals. As per the details, the crime happened in June 2024, when police discovered a headless body in a drain in Ghaziabad.
Earlier, October 2024, a woman was burnt to death by unidentified persons on suspicion of practising black magic in Telangana's Medak district, as reported by news agency IANS.
The police said that the incident happened in Katrial village of Ramayampet Mandal where the woman was beaten up by the assailants, and then they poured petrol on her, setting her ablaze.
As the neighbours heard her cries, they immediately rushed to the house and doused the fire. However, the woman succumbed while being shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.
In another incident which happened almost two years back, in December 2022, a man and his two sons were brutally hacked to death by a group of people during a meeting of the Yerukala community at Tarakram Nagar in Jagtial district of Telengana. As per the details, the victims were suspected to be practising black magic.
