Video Shows Tourist Ziplining During Pahalgam Terror Attack As People Flee Amid Gunshots
A purported video of the Pahalgam terror attack has surfaced, showing the moment militants attacked Baisaran Valley. The video was unintentionally recorded by a tourist on a zipline.

A disturbing video capturing the Pahalgam terror attack has surfaced on social media, showing the chilling moments when militants attacked Baisaran Valley on April 22. The footage, unintentionally recorded by a tourist, identified as Rishi Bhatt, from Ahmedabad riding a zipline, shows people fleeing in panic as gunfire erupts. Towards the end of the video, a body can be seen lying motionless on the ground.
The video begins with a zipline operator raising "Allahu Akbar" slogans before releasing the tourist for the ride. While the visibly happy tourist records his zipline experience, the sounds of gunshots indicate that the attack was being carried out at the same time. People on the ground are seen running; one of them even collapses on the ground. A loud cry can be heard before the video ends.
The video contains references to violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Rishi Bhatt remarked, “The firing started again and 4-5 people were shot. 15-16 tourists were shot in front of us. When we reached the gate, we saw that the local public had already left. One pony guide took us away from there, we also soon found the Indian Army personnel before us. They gave cover to all the tourists...Army covered Pahalgam within 20-25 minutes. They gave cover to all the tourists within 18-20 minutes...We felt safe once the Army gave us cover...I am grateful to the Indian Army...9 people ziplined before me, but the operator did not say anything. When I was sliding, he spoke and then the firing started. So, I have my suspicions about that man.”

Talking about the zipline operator, Bhatt commented, “he said 'Allahu Akbar' thrice and then the firing started...He looked like a regular Kashmiri…”
He mentioned that people were shot dead in front of his wife and son after being asked their religion. He recalled that he ran with his family and hid in a pit-like spot for a while to save themselves.
“Army presence was everywhere in lower areas, even in the forest. But there was no Army officer at the main location. There was Jammu & Kashmir Police as well as three security guards at the main gate," he added.
India's Response After Pahalgam Terror Attack
Previously, eyewitnesses reported that the terrorists separated tourists based on gender and religion before asking the men to recite the ‘kalma’. Those who failed were executed at point-blank range.
The April 22 incident is the deadliest attack on civilians on Indian soil since 2008. Initial findings suggest that the four attackers were trained in camps located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to carry out the assault. While Pakistan has denied involvement, calling for a “neutral probe”, India has taken several measures to mount pressure on Islamabad.
In response to the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to deliver justice to the victims’ families, calling the Baisaran massacre a heinous crime. In a swift move, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and revoked visas issued to Pakistani nationals under 12 categories.
The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly has also moved a resolution denouncing the attack, while former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that he failed in his role during such incidents.
