Youth Detained, Bike Seized After He Performs Shirtless Stunts In Haldwani, Video Goes Viral
Police said the youth, identified as Shyam Singh from Reetha Shahib village, had his motorbike (UK 04 AN 5723) confiscated and was penalised under the Motor Vehicles Act.
A video showing the individual performing reckless stunts on a motorcycle at high speed while shirtless in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani city has gone viral on social media.
In response, the Haldwani police detained the youth and seized his motorcycle immediately action after the video surfaced online. The incident reportedly took place near the Walkway Mall in Haldwani.
In the viral video, a young man is reportedly seen performing risky stunts on his motorcycle while shirtless along Nainital Road. The police had recently launched a road safety campaign after orders from Nainital SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena.

As part of the campaign, Haldwani Kotwali police took notice of the viral video and acted against the individual.
Haldwani Kotwali Inspector-in-charge Rajesh Yadav reported that the youth, identified as Shyam Singh from Reetha Shahib village, had his motorbike (UK 04 AN 5723) confiscated and was penalised under the Motor Vehicles Act. The youth has since apologised for his reckless behaviour.

The social media users appreciated the steps taken by police after they took immediate action against the boy following the video went viral. One of the users said, "The amount of the challan should be at least 25% of the insured value of the vehicle. The newly rich youth consider challan etc. as a means of pride and entertainment. 5-10 thousand rupees are nothing for them."
The next said, "Please ensure zero tolerance for such acts, take more stringent actions, blacklist this person from govt exams services. Use deterrence as the key weapon against such idiots."
