March Likely To See Wet Start In Uttar Pradesh, IMD Says Strong Winds & Rain To Bring Down Temperature
UP Weather News: The weather in Uttar Pradesh has been fluctuating over the past few weeks. Now, heavy rain in many districts is likely to bring down the temperature after a brief rise.

UP Weather Update: Several parts of Uttar Pradesh have seen light rain since Friday. Heavy rain was reported in many areas of western UP. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rain in the state for the next two days. In addition, the department has issued an alert of possible lightning in many places. Due to the rain on Friday and Saturday (March 1), UP's overall temperature is likely to see a noticeable drop.
In fact, the temperature dropped in the Delhi-NCR, including Noida and Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshahr, and several other areas of the state. As per the IMD's alert, the rain over the next two days will be accompanied by strong winds.
According to the IMD, about 12 cm or slightly more rain may occur in most parts of western UP till the morning of March 1. There is a possibility of very heavy rainfall (up to 12 cm) with thunderstorms, hailstorms, and strong winds of up to 40 km per hour. The maximum temperature in most parts of Uttar Pradesh is likely to remain between 12 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature is likely to remain 5 degrees or more in most districts of UP. An orange alert has been issued in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Bijnor, Rampur, Moradabad, Baghpat and the surrounding areas of UP.
However, the weather in the Purvanchal region will remain clear. Light clouds will be seen in the sky during the day. There will be no significant increase in temperature.
