UP: 4 Criminals Of Mustafa Kagga Gang Shot Dead In Shamli Encounter

In a continuous effort to make Uttar Pradesh (UP) crime-free state, four miscreants were killed in an encounter by UP Special Task Force (STF) in the Jhinjhana area of Shamli district, as reported by news agency ANI.  According to the details, one STF inspector was also shot in the encounter.

The four criminals killed were linked to Mustafa Kagga gang. UP STF said that Arshad along with three others, Manjeet, Satish and one unknown accomplice were injured in the encounter, and later, they succumbed to injuries. 

According to the information received from the STF team, Arshad was wanted in a robbery case from PS Behat, Saharanpur. He was also carrying a reward of Rs one lakh. A number of cases of robbery, dacoity and murder were registered against Arshad.

The UP STF added that during the encounter, Inspector Sunil who was leading the STF team received multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a private hospital in Karnal. After initial treatment, he was referred to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, and is undergoing treatment. As per the details, senior Karnal officials ensured timely transfer.

Karnal Civil Line Police Station In-charge, Bhagwan, said, as quoted by IANS, "The information we received is that STF, UP Police, Inspector Sunil was injured by gunshots. After initial treatment, he was referred to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. The pilot vehicle was arranged by us, and the DSP also accompanied the ambulance. Full details are yet to be received, but the incident occurred near Shamli."
