A groom on his way to his wedding suffered a heart attack while sitting on a horse and died on the spot in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.

A video surfaced on social media platform X shows the groom suddenly lost consciousness and began leaning against his horse. Those nearby rushed to support him, attempting to revive him. As the crowd gathered and realised he had suffered a heart attack, they desperately tried chest compressions, but their efforts were in vain. Later in the footage, people can be seen carefully lifting him off the horse and laying him down.

Groom Dies In Madhya Pradesh's Sagar

A similar incident unfolded during a wedding ceremony in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, on January 19, where the groom suffered a heart attack. The groom collapsed during the Pao Pakhrai ritual, while guests were joyfully dancing and celebrating. Suddenly, he fell to the ground in the wedding mandap and passed away.

According to a report by NDTV, 28-year-old Harshit Chaubey, a resident of JC Nagar on Rajghat Road, began feeling uneasy during the Pao Pakhrai ceremony. Moments later, he collapsed in the mandap. His panicked family members immediately rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead before arrival, turning the joyous wedding celebration into mourning. Cold weather is being cited as a possible reason for the groom’s sudden heart attack on his wedding day.

In a similar incident, another wedding celebration in Hathras's Bhojpur village turned tragic when the 22-year-old groom collapsed and died the night before his wedding. On November 19, 2024, Shivam Kumar was dancing at the ‘bhaat' ceremony in his house when he fell to the ground. He was taken to the district hospital but doctors pronounced him dead after his arrival. His family confirmed that doctors attributed his death to a heart attack.
