Multiple Theft Incidents In Lucknow
Meanwhile, another burglary was reported in Jankipuram Garden, where unidentified thieves broke into the house of a pharmacist, Garima, and fled with jewellery and cash. Garima is employed at a primary health centre. Her husband Manoj told police that the family had gone out on June 26, and returned the next afternoon to find the main gate lock broken. Inside, they discovered broken cupboard locks and scattered belongings. The thieves managed to steal jewellery worth Rs 3.5 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash. Shockingly, they also took the CCTV DVR, eliminating potential evidence.
Inspector Vinod Kumar Tiwari from Jankipuram police station said that an FIR has been registered and search operations are underway to trace the accused.
In a third incident, thieves targeted a temple in Vrindavan Colony, where they stole the donation box. Police are currently investigating all three thefts and analysing nearby surveillance footage to track the criminals. The series of incidents has raised concerns about the rising frequency of thefts in the city, even in high-security zones.
