Key Routes In Noida, Greater Noida To Be Affected During Republic Day Celebrations — Details

Republic Day 2025: To ensure safety during R-Day celebrations in Delhi, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has imposed traffic restrictions for goods vehicles from 10 pm on January 25 to 26.

In view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police has issued an advisory detailing traffic restrictions for goods vehicles, effective from 10 pm on January 25 until the conclusion of the Republic Day programme on January 26. The restrictions are aimed at ensuring safety during the high-profile celebrations.

According to the advisory, goods vehicles—whether heavy, medium, or light—will be diverted to alternate routes to prevent their entry into Delhi. Vehicles entering the city from the Chilla Red Light border will be required to take a U-turn and proceed via the Noida and Greater Noida Expressways to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Similarly, vehicles approaching from the DND border will turn back at the toll plaza and follow the same alternate route.

Those travelling to Delhi via the Kalindi Kunj Yamuna border will be diverted before the Yamuna underpass intersection and directed towards the Noida, Greater Noida Expressway, and the Peripheral Expressway. Additionally, vehicles arriving via the Yamuna Expressway will be diverted from Zero Point to Pari Chowk and then directed to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Lakhan Singh Yadav, urged drivers to adhere to these alternate routes to avoid inconvenience. He also noted that the route plan could be modified based on the situation. "If any negligence is seen, a challan will be imposed and strict penal action will be taken," he remarked.

Further, no cross traffic will be permitted on Kartavyapath at Rafi Marg, Janpath, and Man Singh Road from 10 pm on January 25.
