Lawyer By Profession, Annual Income Of Rs 6.9 Lakh: Rekha Gupta Has Declared Assets Worth Rs 5 Crore
Rekha Gupta, who has been announced the Delhi Chief Minister has a net worth of Rs 5.3 crore.

Rekha Gupta has been named the new Chief Minister of Delhi by the Bharatiya Janata Party which made a comeback in the national capital with a sweeping majority.
The BJP MLA from Shalimar Bagh assembly constituency has total assets worth of Rs 5.3 crore and Rs 1.2 crore in liabilities. In her affidavit filed for the assembly polls, she declared that her source of income is from her profession as a lawyer. She has Rs 1,48,000 worth of cash and Rs 22,42,242 in bank account apart from shared in different companies.
Her annual income has shown fluctuations over recent years. In 2023-24, she declared an income of Rs 6.92 lakh, compared to Rs 4.87 lakh in 2023. Her income in 2021-22 was Rs 6.51 lakh, Rs 6.07 lakh in 2020-21, and Rs 5.89 lakh in 2019-20.
Rekha and her husband, Manish Gupta have a life insurance policy worth Rs 53,68,323 and a car registered under he husband's name. She owns a house in Rohini worth Rs 30 lakh.

An active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, she completed her LLB from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. She started her political journey in 1992 as a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
Set to be the only woman CM of a BJP-ruled state currently, Rekha served as the General Secretary and President of the Delhi University Students' Union between 1996-97. She also served as Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha, Delhi (2003-2004), and then as the National Secretary (2004-2006).
In 2025, she defeated AAP incumbent MLA Bandana Kumari by 29,595 votes from the Shalimar Bagh seat which the latter had been winning since 2013.
Her electoral bid in the 2013 assembly election remained unsuccessful and this is her first time winning an assembly poll.
Before entering the poll fray in 2013, she was a member of BJP's National Executive since March 2010. She also served as a Councillor from North Pitampura (Ward 54) in 2007 and 2012.
