Rajasthan: 3-Yr-Old Girl, Rescued 10 Days After Falling Into Borewell, Dies
The child had slipped into a 150-foot deep borewell on December 23 while playing in her father's farm at Badiyali Dhani in the Kotputli-Behror district.
The three-year-old girl who fell into a borewell in Rajasthan's Kotputli was rescued on Wednesday after ten days. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention and later declared dead.

The child had slipped into a 150-foot deep borwell on December 23 while playing in her father's farm at Badiyali Dhani in the Kotputli-Behror district, following which a rescue operation was started to rescue her.
The rescue teams of NDRF and SDRF remained hopeful of completing the operation and reaching the girl till Monday, but layers of sedimentary rock compounded the drilling work.
"Digging eight feet of soil is not a big deal. But we cannot effect a blast if there is a stone. Due to the hard rock, we are facing difficulty in drilling. The work has not stopped for a minute ever since it started," NDRF team in-charge Yogesh Meena said on Tuesday.
District Collector Kalpana Agarwal on Monday met the girl's family and explained to them the problems being faced in the rescue operation. She had assured them that experts were being roped in to assist in the operation.
The girl's family had earlier accused the district administration of being negligent in carrying out the rescue operation.
Initially, the rescuers used an iron ring attached to a rope to pull out the girl, but all attempts failed. After two days of repeated attempts, a piling machine was brought to the spot last Wednesday to dig a parallel pit.
On Saturday, the girl's mother Dholi Devi could be seen pleading with folded hands in a video to rescue her daughter.
Around two weeks ago, a five-year-old boy had fallen into a borewell in the state's Dausa district. The rescue operation went on for 55 hours and the child lost his life by the time he was rescued.
