Rains Likely In Some States On Valentine's Day. Check Weather Forecast

Changes in the weather are also being seen in Delhi-NCR. On Wednesday (February 12), the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius.

Delhi-NCR Weather: Heavy snowfall in the high-altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has led to increased wind speed in the northern plains. The temperature in these areas has been recorded below minus 5 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, a fresh western disturbance will remain active till February 14, due to which light to moderate rain may occur in many states.

Changes in the weather are also being seen in the capital Delhi and the National Capital Region. On Wednesday (February 12), the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius, which was 1.6 degrees above normal. Winds are blowing at a speed of 20 to 25 kilometres per hour during the day, due to which mild cold is felt. The maximum temperature is likely to reach 27 degrees Celsius.

Heat Rising In Uttar Pradesh

The day temperature reached 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius in many parts of the state. Due to a western disturbance, it may rain in some parts of the state on February 14 (Friday). At present, dense fog is seen in the morning in the areas of Lucknow, Prayagraj and Kanpur. Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida also have mild cold due to strong winds.

Weather In Haryana And Punjab

According to Skymet Weather, the heat will gradually increase in these states and March-like heat will be felt in February itself. However, the movement of clouds will continue due to western disturbance till February 14. An increase in temperature is also being recorded in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Due to strong winds, the temperature has currently come down by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Weather Fluctuations Continue In Rajasthan

Strong winds are blowing in Rajasthan due to cyclonic circulation, due to which a slight increase in temperature has been recorded. The maximum temperature in Nagaur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sikar, Fatehpur, Barmer and Alwar has reached 32 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature has been recorded between 6-7 degrees Celsius in some areas. The weather will remain dry in the next few days and the effect of heat is likely to increase.

Snowfall Continues In Himachal And Jammu and Kashmir

There is continuous snowfall in Rohtang Pass and high areas of Himachal Pradesh. Heavy snowfall has also been recorded at the North Portal of Atal Tunnel. The IMD has issued an alert for cold waves and rain. Similarly, there is continuous snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir. The temperature in Srinagar has been recorded at minus 5.3 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam at minus 5 degrees Celsius and Kupwara at minus 4.5 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department said that the cold conditions will continue in the valley till February 15.
