Mumbai Youth Thrashed To Death Over Monetary Dispute In Ghatkopar

A monetary dispute escalated into a fatal beating, killing a youth in Mumbai's Ghatkopar. The Pant Nagar police arrested nine suspects and charged 10 individuals.

Mumbai Crime News: Mumbai's Ghatkopar area woke up to a shock on Wednesday when a young man was beaten to death over a monetary dispute. The deceased has been identified as Harsh Lalan. Following the incident, the Pant Nagar police registered a case against 10 people and arrested 9 suspects. One person remains at large.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Shahid Ansari, Putty Swami Gouda, Bhagwan Singh, Sunil Kumar Ruwani, Rajesh Yadav, Sohail Sheikh, and Amar Patil.

According to information provided by the Pant Nagar police, a complaint was filed by 60-year-old Kiran Jayantilal Lalan, who stated that she and her son Harsh had visited Santosh Shetty’s Headquarters Restaurant and Bar in Ghatkopar East for some work. During their visit, Harsh got into an argument with the bar manager over a financial transaction.

The argument escalated, and the manager allegedly abused Harsh in anger. The manager then attacked Harsh with the help of 9-10 other hotel employees. When Kiran attempted to intervene, the attackers did not stop. During the assault, Harsh suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.

Kiran also sustained injuries during the incident.

Following the complaint, the police filed a case against the unidentified attackers. The suspects had fled the scene then, but the police managed to arrest 9 of them. An investigation into the case is ongoing.
