The body of a man was reportedly found in seven pieces in a plastic bag on the Gorai beach of Mumbai, Maharashtra. As soon as the information was received, police reached the spot and took the body into their custody. Later, the body was sent for a post-mortem.

According to the police, the recovered body has not been identified yet, and a case has been registered. Further investigation is going on in the case.

7-Year-Old Boy Missing From Home Found Dead In Open Drain In Mustafabad Area Of Delhi

In a separate incident, the body of a seven-year-old boy was found in an open drain line in the Mustafabad area on Sunday (October 27), days after he went missing from home, police said.

The incident, which occurred on October 23, was captured on CCTV, aiding the police in solving the case. A resident of the Chaman Park area in Indira Vihar filed a missing person report on October 24 at the Gokal Puri police station, stating that his son had disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

"A missing report was registered immediately, and search teams were deployed to locate the child," a senior police officer explained. The investigation revealed that the boy went missing around 6 p.m. on October 23, and CCTV footage from the area was reviewed.

"The police team also informed nearby police stations of Loni and Ghaziabad. CCTV footage showed the boy roaming in the area after leaving his home at 5.23 pm on October 23," he said, news agency PTI reported.

On Sunday, CCTV footage from near Rajdhani Public School in Babu Nagar, Mustafabad, close to Shiv Vihar Tiraha, was examined. The footage revealed a child walking on the footpath and falling into an open drain around 5:50 p.m. on October 23. Police quickly arrived at the scene with the boy's family.

After a search, the body of the boy was fished out from the 6-ft-deep drain, he said. "The drain is covered with slabs but in some places, one-two slabs are missing. Two slabs were missing at the spot where the boy fell inside," an officer said.
