Fire Breaks Out In Housing Society In Mumbai, 1 Killed
A fire broke out in a Mumbai housing society, killing one security guard and injuring another.

One person was killed and another injured as a fire broke out in a housing society in Mumbai on Monday, said fire officials.
The blaze erupted at 4:35 am in the 13-storey Takshshila Co-operative Housing Society, located on Nathani Road opposite Vidyavihar station according to the official. A security guard was killed while another was injured, reported PTI. More details awaited.
The fire affected electric installations, household articles, wooden furniture, air conditioner units and clothes in five flats on the first and second floors of the building.
Some wooden wall fittings, furniture and shoe racks in the first and second-floor lobbies of the structure, were also affected, as per the official, who said that 15 to 20 persons were safely rescued.
The two security guards injured in the fire were sent to Rajawadi Hospital where one of them, Uday Gangan (43), was declared dead. The deceased suffered 100 per cent burn injuries, according to the official.
The other person Sabhajit Yadav (52), suffered 25 to 30 per cent burn injuries and was undergoing treatment, he said.
The fire was "level-two" and was brought under control by 7:33 am, the official added. Cause of the blaze was not yet known.
