Man From Bihar Arrested For Allegedly Cutting Udders Of Three Cows In Bengaluru
Bengaluru police arrested Sheikh Nasru for severing the udders of three cows. The drunk accused, who works nearby, was remanded to judicial custody for the crime committed.

The Cottonpet police in Karnataka's Bengaluru have arrested a man in connection with severing the udders of three cows, police said, as reported by news agency PTI.
As per the details, the police have identified the accused as Sheikh Nasru. The accused is a 30-year-old man and belongs from the Champaran district of Bihar.
A police official said that the accused had cut the udders of the cows in Vinayakanagar of Chamarajpet in the wee hours of Sunday. As per the sources, he was found to have done the act after being drunk.
The New Indian Express has reported that Nasru works as a helper in a plastic and cloth bag stitching shop. The shop is located about 50 meters away from the place of incident.
The accused was arrested on Sunday evening and was produced at a magistrate's house. He has been remanded to 14 days judicial custody. The police said that an FIR has been filed under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). S Girish, DCP(west) said, "No other person is found to be involved. The accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody till January 24."
Earlier, as per PTI, the residents woke up to the distressing sounds of the cattle and found the injured animals lying in a pool of blood. This also sparked outrage in the locality.
The cows belonged to a resident named Karna, and the animals were tied near his house when the incident occurred, as repored by NewsX. The injured animals were provided with medical treated at the Chamarajpet veterinary hospital and are now reported to be out of danger.
Karna, expressing his anguish, said, “This is a cruel act. We found our cows injured in the morning and immediately lodged a police complaint. I hope justice is served.”
Reacting on this incident, BJP leader and MLC Ravi Kumar has urged the government to take strict action against the accused and demanded compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the cow owner.
