Pune Horror: Techie Slits Throat Of 3-Year-Old Son Over Suspicion Of Wife’s Infidelity, Dumps Body In Forest
Pune techie suspected his wife’s character, which led to an argument between the couple on the afternoon of the incident.
In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old techie in Pune, Maharashtra, slit the throat of his three-and-a-half-year-old son and threw his body in a forest after he suspected his wife of infidelity. The deceased child has been identified as Himmat Madhav Tiketi. Pune's Chandan Nagar police have arrested the boy’s father in connection with the crime.
According to police, the family originally hails from Visakhapatnam. Madhav suspected his wife’s character, which led to an argument between the couple on the afternoon of the incident.
Following the dispute, the husband left home with the child. That night, his wife approached Chandan Nagar police station and reported both her husband and son missing.
Upon reviewing CCTV footage, police traced the accused. Early the next morning, he was found intoxicated in a forested area near Chandan Nagar. When questioned about his son’s whereabouts, he confessed to having killed him.
Child Body Sent For Post-Mortem
Police later searched the forest and discovered the child's body with his throat slit.
"Last night the child's mother came to the police station and filed a missing report for her son. During the investigation, it was found that the child's father was drunk in a lodge. We took him into custody and arrested her. On further interrogation, he confessed to killing his son. The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway. A case of murder has been registered as per the crime," a senior police official stated, NDTV reported.
The child’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and authorities continue their probe into the incident.
