A 20-year-old man was reportedly stabbed to death in the Chembur Camp area of Mumbai. In connection with the murder, a 21-year-old man was arrested by the Chembur police.
According to police, the victim and the accused knew each other and got into a heated argument, which escalated to the point where the accused fatally attacked the victim with a knife.
As per the Mumbai Police inputs, the deceased has been identified as Mohammad Farid Aleem Shaikh, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Mumbai. The incident took place near Laal Mitti Garden in Chembur Camp.
Police said the accused, Vaibhav Pandurang Bhingardive (21), resides in Indira Nagar near Hanuman Mandir Lane. After an argument, Vaibhav allegedly stabbed Farid with a knife.
During the fight, Farid reportedly attacked Vaibhav on the head with a bottle. In a fit of rage, Vaibhav retaliated by stabbing Farid, leading to his death. Chembur police have registered a case under Section 103(1) of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita), arrested the accused, and initiated further investigation.
Woman Doctor Found Dead At Home In Maharashtra's Nagpur
A woman doctor was discovered dead with a head wound in her house in Nagpur city of Maharashtra. The body of the 50-year-old woman was found in her house in Ladikar Layout under the Hudkeshwar police station limits on Saturday night, police said on Sunday (April 13).
Police stated that the victim, identified as Dr Archana Anil Rahule, was employed as an assistant professor in the physiotherapy department of the Government Medical College and Hospital, according to PTI.
Police added that Archana used to stay alone, as her husband, Dr Anil Rahule, employed in Raipur (Chhattisgarh), and their son, a third-year medical student, studied in Pune.
The official stated that the victim's husband returned home after several days and discovered the body around 9:30 pm. He noticed a foul odor coming from the house, found the main door ajar, and saw the body lying on the bed.
