Madhya Pradesh: Four Bodies Discovered In House Septic Tank, Foul Play Suspected
The house where the bodies were discovered falls under Bargawan police station limits, 30 km from the district headquarters.
Four dead bodies were recovered from the septic tank of a house in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district on Saturday. Police suspect this to be a case of multiple murders. The newly constructed house and the tank had no water so prima facie is currently murder.
The house falls under Bargawan police station limits, 30 km from the district headquarters, according to a PTI report.
Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Kumar Verma, while speaking to PTI, said that a local man had informed them about the foul odour coming from the sceptic tank. A police team reached the spot and found four bodies in the tank, he said.

One of the deceased was identified as Suresh Prajapati, 30, son of the house owner Hari Prasad Prajapati, while another was identified as Karan Halwai, he said.
Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Singrauli KK Pandey told ANI, that Suresh Prajapati is the main deceased.
“This is a newly constructed house and the tank had no water so prima facie we are considering it as a murder... During our interrogation, it was revealed that the deceased had been in touch with their families till January 2. These dead bodies have been here for more than 36 hours...", Pandey added.
As per the preliminary probe, Suresh and Karan visited the house on January 1 with their friends for a party. It is suspected that they were killed on the premises and the bodies were dumped in the septic tank, the official said.
In a similar case, Mukesh Chandrakar, a freelance journalist who went missing on January 1, his body was found on Friday in the septic tank on a property owned by contractor Suresh Chandrakar at Chattanpara Basti in Bijapur town.
Three persons have been detained in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old journalist in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, police said on Saturday.
The police, however, did not disclose their names and said the details would be revealed later in the day.
