'Made A Mistake, Will Never Happen Again': Nitish Kumar On Alliance With RJD Ahead Of Polls
The remark by Nitish Kumar comes ahead of Bihar Assembly Elections later this year. Amit Shah is in Bihar where he unveiled several projects of the Centre and the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday reiterated that he would never go with the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan bloc and said he made a mistake by aligning with Lalu Yadav's Party.
Speaking during an event in Patna, the JD(U) chief said that though he made a mistake by entering into the RJD-led alliance twice, this would never happen again.
He also heaped praise for former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee saying that the BJP leader had made him the Chief Minister for the first time.
"We made a mistake by going there (Mahagathbandhan) twice. Now we have decided that this will never happen again. This is wrong. Who made me the Chief Minister? Atal Bihari Vajpayee made me the Chief Minister. How can we forget?" Nitish Kumar said while sharing the stage with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

"What did the ones in power before (RJD-Congress combine) do? They used to get votes of Muslims but could never put a stop to clashes between communities," the CM said.
The remarks come ahead of the assembly elections in the state later this year. Amit Shah is in Bihar where he unveiled several projects of the Centre and the state. At the function in the state capital, Shah was visibly warm towards Kumar.
Shah, a former BJP president, had given a pep talk to the cadre late Saturday night, when he is said to have asserted our victory in Bihar will resonate far and wide. Amit Shah is likely to wind up his two-day tour later in the day with a brainstorming session at Kumar's place, where other NDA constituents are also expected.
A BJP ally since the mid-90s, Nitish Kumar split with the party in 2014, only to realign three years later.
In 2022, he again parted ways, vowing to dislodge the BJP from power at the Centre and bring together parties from across the country to form the INDIA bloc. However, ahead of last year's Lok Sabha polls, the JD(U) supremo got back in the NDA camp.
