Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing Live-In Partner In Ludhiana After Dispute Over Her Past
A man was arrested for allegedly killing his live-in partner in Ludhiana after discovering her past marriage. Police nabbed him in UP and are bringing him back on transit remand.

In a chilling case police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his live-in partner in Ludhiana after a dispute stemming from revelations about her past.
The accused, Sunil Kumar, was taken into custody by Punjab Police with the support of local authorities from a village in the Dhanepur Police Station limits of Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh. Officers are now in the process of bringing him back to Punjab on a transit remand, officials confirmed on Sunday.
According to Inspector Aditya Sharma, who headed the Punjab Police team that carried out the arrest, Sunil hails from Khwajajot village in Shravasti. He had moved to Ludhiana in search of work, where he later met Radhika, a 20-year-old woman employed at the same factory.
Their acquaintance soon developed into a relationship, and the couple began living together in a rented accommodation in Ludhiana’s Fatehganj area around six months ago. However, the seemingly stable arrangement took a dark turn in early June.
"Sunil recently discovered that Radhika had been married before," said Inspector Sharma. "This revelation reportedly led to rising tensions between the two."
That tension reached a tragic peak on the night of June 8. What started as an argument turned violent, police say. Sunil allegedly bound Radhika’s hands and feet, strangled her to death, and fled the scene shortly after.
The case came to light when Radhika’s brother, Rahul, filed a police complaint after learning of her death. Authorities promptly registered an FIR based on his statement and launched a manhunt, which culminated in Sunil's arrest days later.
