SUV Crashes Into Lucknow Restaurant After Driver Allegedly Consumes Alcohol
A man allegedly drunk crashes his SUV into a Lucknow restaurant moments after drinking there. The shocking incident on Shaheed Path was caught on the camera.
Late Saturday night in Lucknow, a peaceful evening turned chaotic when an SUV came crashing into a local restaurant — just moments after the driver had reportedly consumed alcohol at the same spot.
The dramatic incident unfolded at an eatery located on Shaheed Path, and a video of the crash has since gone viral. In the footage, the screeching of tyres slices through the night air, followed almost instantly by the terrifying sound of metal colliding with concrete and glass.
The Terrifying Turn Of Events
According to the eyewitnesses and the video, the vehicle plowed directly into the restaurant, leaving at least one person injured. The sudden impact sent patrons and staff scrambling, some rising in alarm only to be caught in the confusion as the SUV smashed through the entrance.
What prompted the crash remains unclear. There’s no official word yet on whether it was a case of reckless driving, intoxication, or something else entirely. However, the video shows a man — believed to be a bystander — confronting the driver and slapping him moments after the SUV came to a halt. The driver was allegedly under the influence at the time of the crash.
Police were quickly notified, and authorities have since seized the vehicle. Despite the severity of the incident and the viral footage, no formal complaint has been filed so far.
