Lover Kills Woman's Husband For Rejecting His Marriage Proposal In Mumbai
Police tracked down and arrested Aminur within 36 hours of the murder. Sub-inspector Babasaheb Sangale said a murder case has been registered based on Fatima’s complaint.

In a chilling case of unrequited love turning fatal, Navi Mumbai Police arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly murdering the husband of a woman who refused his marriage proposal. The incident took place in the Vashi Gaon area of Navi Mumbai.
The accused, identified as Aminur Ali Maulla, reportedly had feelings for a 25-year-old woman named Fatima, who had been married to Abubakar Mandal (35) for several years. According to police, Aminur recently proposed marriage to Fatima. When she rejected his proposal and informed him that she was already married, he allegedly decided to eliminate her husband.
Man's Body Dumped In Vashi Creek
On Monday, when Mandal failed to return home from work and could not be reached over the phone, Fatima filed a missing person’s report at the Vashi police station. During her complaint, she also mentioned that Aminur had recently proposed to her and was persistent in his advances. This led police to suspect Aminur’s involvement in Mandal’s sudden disappearance.
During the investigation, police discovered Mandal’s body dumped in the Vashi creek on Tuesday. Further probe revealed that Aminur had allegedly killed Mandal to "clear his path" to marry Fatima. In an attempt to destroy evidence, he also dumped his blood-stained clothes and belongings in a nearby nullah in Vashi village along the Panvel-Sion road.
Based on technical surveillance and leads, the police tracked down and arrested Aminur within 36 hours of the murder. Sub-inspector Babasaheb Sangale from Vashi police station confirmed the arrest and said that a murder case has been registered based on Fatima’s complaint.
Further investigation is underway to determine whether Aminur acted alone or had any accomplices in the crime.
