Lalu Yadav Out Of Danger, But Remains Under Care At AIIMS-Delhi Amid BP, Sugar Fluctuations

The 76-year-old leader was admitted to AIIMS in the national capital on April 2 after his health condition deteriorated. He was earlier admitted to the Paras Hospital in Bihar for a brief period.

Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has been admitted to the AIIMS Delhi since last week, is said to be out of danger. However, he remains under care and observation as his blood pressure and sugar levels have been fluctuating.

The 76-year-old leader was admitted to AIIMS in the national capital on April 2 after his health condition deteriorated at the Paras Hospital in Bihar. He arrived in Delhi for further treatement after being discharged from the facility in Patna, where he was admitted for a brief period. 

According to sources, the RJD leader's rose several times and he has been experiencing recurring issues with blood pressure and sugar levels. However, his condition has witnessed rapid improvement and he is believed to be out of danger. He is eating and drinking normally.

Yadav is likely to stay at the hospital for a few more days and the doctors will decide the future course of action on April 11.

Lalu Prasad Yadav Admitted To AIIMS-Delhi 

Lalu Yadav was admitted to the Cardio Critical Care Unit of the Cardio-Neuro Centre under Dr Rakesh Yadav, Professor of Cardiology at AIIMS. Yadav was brought to AIIMS for treatment at around 9.35 PM.

Talking to reporters in Patna, his son and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said that the RJD supremo had developed sores on his back and an arm, which he hopes to get operated upon in Delhi.

"Lalu ji had reached the airport in the afternoon to board his flight for Delhi. My mother Rabri Devi is accompanying him. A sudden drop in blood pressure was noted following which we rushed him to the Paras Hospital," the former deputy chief minister said.

Though Tejashwi Yadav expressed confidence that his father would soon be alright, he admitted that the family was concerned about him since he has been diabetic for mny years and even undergone a heart surgery and kidney transplant.

Lalu Yadav was kept in the emergency ward, where his condition imoroved gradually after receiving therapy.
