A fire erupted at the closed Kingdom of Dreams cultural centre in Gurugram's Sector 29.

A massive fire broke out at the Kingdom of Dreams cultural centre in Gurugram on Thursday afternoon. At least 10 fire tenders were sent to douse the blaze. Images from the spot showed thick black smoke emanating from the premises.

The popular entertainment and cultural venue, known for showcasing India's art, heritage, and cuisine, has been shut since July 2022 after being sealed by the HSVP over unpaid dues of nearly ₹100 crore, reported news agency ANI.

Due to the fire, a large part of the cultural centre was burnt to ashes. The furniture and other dry and flammable items inside spread the fire faster. The cause of the fire is not known yet but a short-circuit is suspected.
What Is Kingdom Of Dreams Known For?
The Kingdom of Dreams, located in Sector-29 of Gurugram, is the first live entertainment centre of its kind in the country. It started operations in 2010 and became the second-most popular entertainment centre of the country after Mumbai in a very short time.
The Kingdom of Dreams Opera Theatre gave a glimpse of European countries, including France, USA, and England. It offered a peek into different traditions, food, and clothing of various states of India. Food from various Indian states was also served to the visitors.
