Kanpur Man Rapes 6-Year-Old , Fills Her Mouth With Leaves On Resisting; Hit Head With Brick

A man in Kanpur attempted to rape a six-year-old girl on pretext of offering her chocolate. He stuffed her mouth with leaves and hit her head before fleeing the spot.

UP News: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur where a man assaulted a six-year-old girl. When the girl resisted, the accused stuffed leaves into her mouth, and hit her head with a brick multiple times. The accused fled her after committing the crimem assuming she was dead. As soon as the family found out about the incident, chaos erupted. The girl was rushed to the hospital, from where she was referred to the district hospital. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

According to information, victim's father, a resident of the area under the Ghatampur police station limits submitted a written complaint to the police on Tuesday, stating that a young man living in their neighborhood took his six-year-old daughter to a mausoleum behind their house on the pretext of giving her chocolates, reported India Today. There, the young man raped the girl and when the child cried out in pain, the accused stuffed leaves into her mouth. When the child did not stop crying, the accused hit her head multiple times with a brick kept nearby. After this, he left the child in a bloodied state and ran away.

Girl's Condition Critical

When the villagers saw the girl lying in a bloodied state, they raised an alarm and informed the family about the incident. Upon receiving the information, the family reached the spot and rushed the child to Ghatampur CHC, where she was provided initial treatment befoer being referred to Kanpur District Hospital in a serious condition. The family reached the police station and informed the police about the incident after which the cops reached the spot and started investigating. The police are also questioning the people living nearby, as per the report. 

Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, Dipendra Chaudhary said that information about the incident has been received and the incident is being investigated. A case will be registered based on the complaint and further action will be taken. The accused lives in the neighborhood and the girl used to call him uncle. He had taken her behind the mausoleum on the pretext of chocolates, Chaudhary said, assuring arrest of the accused soon. 

"On June 10, in the evening, the Ghatampur Inspector received information that a 6-year-old girl from Mohalla Jawahar Nagar, Ghatampur town, was taken to CHC Ghatampur in an injured condition. The girl has been referred to Kanpur Hospital. The family has expressed suspicion of some kind of sexual assault on the child. Teams have been formed for the arrest of the accused," the DCP said.
