Suspected Pahalgam Terrorist's Sister Calls Him ‘Mujahideen’ As Homes Demolished In Pulwama, Anantnag

Authorities demolished the residences of two Lashkar-e-Taliba operatives, one in Tral, Pulwama, and the other belonging to Adil Guree in Anantnag.

The family of one of the suspected terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack, whose home was demolished on Friday morning, referred to him as a "Mujahideen".

Authorities demolished the residences of two Lashkar-e-Taliba operatives, one in Tral, Pulwama, and the other belonging to Adil Guree in Anantnag, believed to have played a key role in the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, including a Nepalese national, mostly tourists.

Speaking to news agency ANI, Tral-based terrorists' sister said, "My one brother is in jail, the other brother is a 'Mujahideen', and I also have two sisters. Yesterday, when I came here from my in-laws' place, I did not find my parents and siblings at their home. Police had taken them all away."

She claimed that the family is innocent, as they don't know anything about the involvement of their brother. 

"While I was here, the Security Forces came and asked me to move to a neighbour's house. I saw a man wearing a camouflage uniform placing an object like a bomb on top of the house. After that, the house was demolished...We are innocent. They have destroyed our house. We don't know anything and have nothing to do with it," she added.

Terrorist Adil Guree's House Also Demolished 

Meanwhile, the second house of the terrorist Adil Guree was also demolished by the authorities in Anantag on Friday. Adil Guree, a resident of Guree village in the Bijbehara block of Anantnag district, is suspected to have played a key role in the Pahalgam terror attack.

He has been named one of the most wanted individuals, with Anantnag Police announcing a reward of Rs 20 lakh for credible information leading to his capture.

Alongside him, two Pakistani nationals have also been declared most wanted in connection with the attack. Adil reportedly crossed into Pakistan illegally in 2018, where he is said to have undergone terrorist training before returning to Jammu and Kashmir last year.

On April 22, terrorists targeted tourists at the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, resulting in the deaths of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, and injuring several others.
