Jaipur: 75-Year-Old Retired IAS Officer ‘Assaulted’ By Bus Conductor Over Rs 10 Fare Dispute, Video Surfaces
Jaipur News: A retired IAS officer was allegedly assaulted by a bus conductor over an additional fare dispute. The conductor reportedly pushed the officer, who retaliated by slapping him.

Jaipur News: A retired IAS officer, R L Meena, aged 75, was allegedly assaulted by a bus conductor in Jaipur after a dispute over an additional fare of Rs 10, the police confirmed on Sunday. The incident occurred on Friday when Meena was not dropped at his intended stop, the Kanota bus stand on Agra Road, as the conductor failed to alert him. Consequently, the bus reached the next stop at Nayla.
According to Uday Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of Kanota police station, an argument ensued when Meena refused to pay the extra fare, news agency PTI reported. During the confrontation, the conductor, identified as Ghanshyam Sharma, pushed Meena, leading the retired officer to slap him. The conductor then allegedly assaulted Meena in response.
A video of the altercation surfaced on social media, drawing attention to the incident.

Meena lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Sharma at the Kanota police station on Saturday. Following the complaint, Jaipur City Transport Services Limited suspended the conductor for misconduct.

Man Arrested In Palghar For Attacking RPF Constable
In a separate incident, a man was arrested by Vasai railway police in Palghar district on Sunday for allegedly assaulting a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable.
The confrontation arose when the man was found travelling in a coach designated for people with disabilities. Upon being confronted by the RPF constable after complaints from fellow passengers, the accused reportedly attacked the constable and even bit him, an official revealed, as per PTI.
The constable, with assistance from other passengers, subdued the man and escorted him to the Vasai railway police station, where the accused was placed under arrest.
