IAF Apache Attack Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing In UP's Saharanpur
An IAF chopper made an emergency landing during routine exercise in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur. Both pilots are safe.

An Indian Air Force Apache attack helicopter made an emergency landing during a routine exercise in the Yamuna riverbank village of Chilkana in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh, news agency IANS reported.
Army and police officials reached the site upon receiving the information. Both pilots are safe, and no damage has been reported in the incident.
According to news agency ANI, IAF officials said that the chopper has now returned to the Saharanpur air base.

According to a report by India Today, the emergency landing was made after a sudden technical fault was detected during the flight. The pilots acted swiftly and mde the landing without causing any loss of life or property.
The emergency landing of the helicopter took place in a controlled and safe manner and there was no explosion or accident of any kind, the report said citing officials.
Nearby villagers rushed to the spot after the helicopter landed in the fields, but the crowd was removed by the police and army personnel for safety concerns. An in-depth investigation was initiated by the army's technical team to determine the actual reason behind the chopper's malfunction.
After the landing of the helicopter, the army temporarily cordoned off the area and created a security circle. The technical glitch was also fixed after the technical team completed the investigation of the fighter helicopter.
The IAF's Apache helicopter is about 16-feet-high and 18-feet-wide, and is flown by two pilots. It is the first such fighter helicopter of the Air Force which can hit and destroy targets deep inside the enemy's territory.
