Heavy Rain Causes Waterlogging, Flooding In Several Parts Of Karnataka's Hubballi

Hubballi experienced heavy rain causing waterlogging and disruption, amid a yellow alert from the IMD for 17 districts, including Bengaluru.

Residents in Karnataka's Hubballi woke up to heavy rain on Sunday amid a yellow alert by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). 

The heavy rain disrupted normal routine of the people with waterlogging in several areas of the city including Janata Bazat, Halehalli, and Anand Nagar. Many areas also witnessed flooding including roads near Lamington Road, Dajiban Peth, and other key circles, reported IANS. 

The weather department has issued yellow alert for 17 districts of the state including Bengaluru. Dakshin Kannada, Udupi, Bagalkote, Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Vijayapura, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Davangere Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Shivamogga districts placed under the yellow alert. 

Meanwhile, an orange alert has also been issued by the weather department for four districts including Tumakuru, Hassan, Chitradurga, Chikkamagaluru.
