UP: 5-Year-Old Boy Gang-Raped In Hapur District, Probe Underway

A five-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by two men in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh on September 19, according to the police. The incident was reported on September 26, when the boy narrated the entire incident to his family members after his health status deteriorated and was questioned about the injury marks on his body.

According to a complaint filed by the child's family, two individuals identified as Arsh and Junaid allegedly abducted the boy from his home and gang-raped him at a nearby farm. Two goat herders, Rizwan and Alfez, reportedly recorded the incident and shared the video online.

When the family of the child confronted the accused at their home, they were beaten and threatened. The accused also issued death threats to the family before fleeing the scene, India Today reported.

Following the complaint made by the family members of the boy, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered under sections 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional assault) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, along with sections of the Pocso Act.

A senior Hapur Police official confirmed that multiple teams have been deployed to arrest the accused. "The boy's family has made serious allegations against four individuals. A case has been registered based on the complaint. Teams have been formed to arrest the accused, and they will be apprehended soon," Inspector Vijay Kumar of the Hapur Police stated.

Pune College Girl Raped By Four People

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old girl from Pune district of Maharashtra was allegedly raped by four people, including two minors, after she befriended them on Instagram. The girl was allegedly raped by the four on separate occasions in different places but the case was lodged on September 24. The two minor accused were detained, while the adults, aged between 20 and 22, were arrested.

According to the news agency PTI, police said the accused did not know one another but had allegedly befriended the girl separately on social media. The accused allegedly sexually assaulted the girl, a student at a Pune-based college, at various places in the city between April and September.
