Ghaziabad: Men Beaten Up With Sticks Amid Brawl Over Parking Dispute, 3 Arrested As Video Surfaces

Ghaziabad News: A road rage incident led to a street fight captured on video. An investigation was launched as the video surfaced online and three people have been arrested so far.

Ghaziabad News: In an incident of road rage, an altercation over parking near a restaurant in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad escalated into a street fight, leaving three men injured after they were beaten up. The incident, captured in a video, led to the arrest of three accused, police said.

The video, which went viral on social media, shows five people attacking three men with sticks as onlookers watch. One of the victims is seen curled up on the ground while a woman, apparently known to the attackers, pleads for them to stop. The assault ends only after some passersby intervene. Amidst the chaos, vehicular traffic in the area was disrupted, and honking was heard in the background.

According to NDTV, senior police officer Abhishek Srivastava stated that an investigation was launched as soon as the video surfaced online. "During the investigation, we found that this incident occurred at Kavinagar. We registered a case under relevant sections and arrested the accused. Their names are Ayush, Nitish, and Abhishek. We are questioning the accused and speaking to witnesses for further action," Srivastava said, as quoted by NDTV.

Incidents of road rage have been on the rise in the National Capital Region (NCR), with minor disputes often spiralling into violence. Earlier this year, a 30-year-old police constable, Sandeep, was dragged on the road and later succumbed to head injuries after confronting a rash driver. In another incident, a 30-year-old woman was fatally shot following an argument involving her husband and the shooter.
