Similarly on October 25, several areas of the national capital faced water scarcity. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) stated that the disruption in water supply on Friday was due to maintenance work.
Residents were advised to store adequate water in advance to meet their needs during the outage and to use water conservatively. The DJB has also assured that water tankers would be available on request through the DJB helpline or the central control room.
The impacted regions were Inder Puri, Maya Puri, Toda Pur Village, Dasghara, C-Block JJR, Naraina Village, Naraina Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden, Ramesh Nagar, MES, and the areas served by the Kirti Nagar Underground Reservoir (UGR) and HMP Colony, according to an official statement.
The Delhi Jal Board began its maintenance work in the national capital early in September. This has led to intermittent disruptions in water supply since then.
