What Will Delhi Weather Be Like Tomorrow (July 5)? Check IMD Forecast
Delhi Weather News: Delhi is battling a 'sticky' humidity as monsoon rains continue. The IMD has issued a yellow alert. Meanwhile, the artificial rain trials have been postponed to August.

Delhi Weather Update: The humidity in Delhi is making lives uncomfortable. With the monsoon rains and concurrent summer heat, the weather in Delhi-NCR has become 'sticky'. So far, there is no forecast of any relief from the 'sticky' situation. The India Meteorological Department has forecast a cloudy week ahead.
The IMD's latest bulletin till July 8 has forecast a partly cloudy sky and light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. A yellow alert will remain in place till Saturday, July 5. The temperature on Saturday is likely to hover between 37 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius. It is then expected to go down a notch or two and remain between 24 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius till July 10.
This year, the monsoon entered Kerala on May 24 and covered the entire India, including Delhi-NCR, on June 29.
Artificial Rain In Delhi
Owing to the increasing pollution levels in Delhi, especially during the winters, the government is going to conduct an artificial rain experiment. The pilot project, for which a total of ₹3.21 crore has been allocated, is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Initially scheduled for a trial run between July 4 and July 11, the trial run for artificial rain in Delhi has been pushed back to August. As per Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the trial had to be postponed due to the monsoon still being active in the region.
The cloud seeding for the artificial rain will now be conducted between August 30 and September 10, when the monsoon starts receding. The artificial rain project in Delhi is a joint venture by IMD, IIT-Kanpur, and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune.
A total of five sorties will be undertaken as part of the trial run. The cloud seeding aircraft will fly over north Delhi, Rohini, Bawana, Alipur, Burari, and some adjoining regions of Uttar Pradesh, including Loni and Baghpat.
