'Just In 2 Months...': Kejriwal Targets Delhi Government Over Power Cuts
Amidst the rising temperatures in Delhi, power cuts have sparked public unrest. The Aam Aadmi Party has seized the opportunity to attack the BJP-led government for its failure to curb power cuts.

The heat in Delhi hasn't even reached its peak yet, but power cuts have become common and the residents of the national capital are out on the streets. The Aam Aadmi Party leadership has taken this opportunity to target the Rekha Gupta-led BJP government.
Delhi's former CM and Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday, April 12, said, "What have the BJP people done to Delhi in just two months?"

AAP Never Let Delhi Face Power Cuts: Kejriwal
Earlier, Kejriwal slammed incumbent Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, stating that on April 9, Delhi's peak power demand was 5,462 MW. "Even with this moderate demand, multiple areas faced hours-long outages. Last year, the peak demand had reached nearly 8,500 MW, and yet the AAP government ensured uninterrupted power supply," he said.
Former Delhi CM and incumbent Leader of Opposition Atishi, too, targeted the BJP. She shared videos of herself visiting various assembly constituencies and talking to people. The videos also showed her talking to affected residents in Janakpuri, the constituency of Delhi Power Minister Ashish Sood. In the video, people could be seen telling Atishi, "We made a mistake voting for BJP."

BJP Leader Faces Protest in Srinivaspuri
Tensions flared further when AAP leader Atishi posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying that residents are so angry over power cuts that BJP leaders are being confronted in public. She claimed BJP ministers can't leave their offices without heavy police protection.
Atishi pointed out that on Sunday, BJP Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma visited Srinivaspuri, where he faced strong opposition from local women.
