MHA Transferred 78 IAS And IPS Officers In September

This move comes after the Ministry of Home Affairs in September ordered the transfer of 78 IAS and IPS officers from the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory) cadre. Among the 45 IPS officers moved from Delhi, five were district Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) of Delhi Police. The reshuffle also affected 33 IAS officers, with several being reassigned across various states and Union Territories, Times Of India reported.

Additionally, 32 officers of DANICS (Delhi-Andaman and Nicobar Island Civil Service) and DANIPS were also been transferred to different regions.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police has prohibited protests and the gathering of five or more persons in the central and bordering areas of the city for the next six days, citing law and order issues.

Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora directed the imposition of section 163 (which was earlier section 144 of CrPC) of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita in the districts of New Delhi, North and Central, and all police stations jurisdiction which are bordering other states.
