Several Parts Of Delhi To Face Water Supply Cut Today, Check Here
Parts of New Delhi will experience water shortages on Sunday due to a shutdown of the Sonia Vihar Water Works
Several parts of Delhi under the jurisdiction of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) will not have water supply on Sunday, as per an official statement.
The Delhi Jal Board had announced a shutdown of the Sonia Vihar Water Works which would affect the water supply in some areas, according to the statement.
The areas where water supply will not be available include Jor Bagh, Lodhi Colony, B K Dutt Colony, Karbala, Aliganj, Golf Links, Bharti Nagar, Pandara Park, Pandara Road, Bapa Nagar, Kaka Nagar, High Court, Laxmi Bai Nagar, East Kidwai Nagar, West Kidwai Nagar, Tughlaq Crescent, Subramaniyam Bharti Marg, Ravinder Nagar, Khan Market, Lodhi Estate, and surrounding areas.

The civic agency has urged residents to use water judiciously during this period.
According to the statement, the residents in the affected areas can request water tankers or water trolleys by contacting the NDMC Water Supply Control Room at Kali Bari Marg.
On Saturday too, several areas in the city experienced a water supply cut due to maintenance work.
According to the DJB, an interconnection work on a newly installed 800 mm diameter loop line near Rajouri Garden Metro Station, adjacent to Pillar No. 415 affected the water supply.
Inder Puri, Maya Puri, Toda Pur Village, Dasghara, C-Block JJR, Naraina Village, Naraina Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden, Ramesh Nagar, MES, and the areas served by the Kirti Nagar Underground Reservoir (UGR) and HMP Colony were the areas impacted due to the maintenance work.
Earlier this week, localities in south Delhi faced water disruption due to maintenance works at the Sonia Vihar water treatment plant. Areas like Kailash Nagar, Sarai Kale Khan, Jal Vihar, Lajpat Nagar, Moolchand, and Vasant Kunj remained affected.
