2 Arrested After Woman's Body Found In Bed Box In Delhi's Shahdara; Husband Absconding
Delhi Police arrested two individuals, including the flat owner, for killing a woman whose body was discovered concealed in a bed box. The victim's husband remains at large.

A day after the decomposed body of a woman was found inside a bed box in a flat in Delhi's Shahdara, police on Saturday said they have arrested two people, including the flat’s owner, PTI reported.
The police said that they have arrested Vivekanand Mishra, the flat owner, and another person, Abhay Kumar Jha. They added that the woman's husband, Ashish Kumar, is untraceable since the incident.
As per the details shared by police, the victim, Anju alias Anjali lived in Delhi with her spouse. However, a few days ago, when she saw the three men in a compromising position, she left home and went to her parents residence in Ludhiana, Punjab.
Ashish brought Anju back to Delhi from Ludhiana on March 21, and the three men then killed her on March 23, and hid her body in a bed box at Mishra's apartment before running away to Jaipur, according to the police. In Jaipur, they stayed at the house of Jha's cousin.
While the three men were planning ways to dispose of the body, the Delhi Police on Friday received a PCR call with complaints of foul smell coming from one of the DDA flats.
What DCP Said?
"Upon arrival, police found the house locked from the outside with traces of blood near the back door," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam said, as reported by PTI. They went into the apartment and found Anju's decayed body inside a bed's storage compartment, wrapped in a blanket and hidden in a bag.
As Mishra tried to escape from Surajmal Park in Anand Vihar, police located him and took him into custody, according to a senior police official. During questioning, Mishra disclosed the involvement of Anju's husband Ashish and Jha, a driver from Supaul, Bihar.
The police said that they have registered a case and trying to locate Ashish.
