Delhi: Man Out For Morning Walk Shot Dead In Shahdara's Vishwas Nagar

A 52-year-old man was shot daed in Delhi's Shahdara district during his morning walk. The victim, Sunil Jain, was targeted by two individuals on a motorcycle who fired at least seven bullets.

A man out on his morning walk was fired upon and killed in Delhi's in Shahdara. At least seven bullets were fired at the man. The incident occurred in Vishwas Nagar under the Farsh Bazar Police Station.

A team from the police station rushed to the spot after getting a PCR call. They identified the victim as 52-year-old businessman Sunil Jain. The victim was struck by at least two bullets.

He was returning to his home after his daily morning walk at Yamuna Sports Complex. He was on a scooter. He was reportedly shot by two persons on a motorcycle. A Crime Team has been called to the spot. Further investigation is in progress.

Kejriwal Slams Amit Shah For Rising Crime In Delhi

Immediately after the incident, former Delhi Chief Minister AND Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal slammed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the rising crime rate in the national Capital. With Delhi Police being administered directly by the Union Home Ministry, the responsibility of the maintenance of law and order in the national capital lies with the Centre. 

Arvind Kejriwal said: "Amit Shah ji has ruined Delhi. He has established a jungle raj in Delhi. People everywhere are living in terror. The BJP cannot handle the law and order in Delhi. The people of Delhi will have to unite and raise their voices."

Arvind Kejriwal has been highlighting the deteriorating law-and-order situation in Delhi for quite some time now. Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections likely in February 2025, the rising crime rate in the national capital has become a major poll plank for the Aam Aadmi party.
