Delhi CM Atishi Will Not Face Floor Test In Assembly Today
Delhi CM Atishi will not face a floor test in the Assembly as her party, AAP, claims to have the necessary majority and submitted it in the letter when staking their claim to form the government.
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will not face the floor test in the Legislative Assembly on Friday, sources told ABP News. Atishi, who took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21, is yet to undergo a floor test in the Assembly to cement her new-formed government's position in the national capital.
As per the sources, the Aam Aadmi Party did not feel the need for a floor test saying it had the numbers which were also listed in the letter which it had handed over when they had staked claim to form the government.
Atishi was unanimously chosen as the Chief Minister by the party after Arvind Kejriwal made a surprise announcement to step down from the post after being released from Tihar jail. He was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in a money laundering case linked to the alleged irregularities in the liquor policy case in the national capital.

Last week Atishi was sworn in as the Chief Minister by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena at Raj Niwas in New Delhi. Apart from Atishi, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gahlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat were also sworn in as cabinet ministers in the Atishi government.
Atishi has retained most of her earlier portfolios including Education, Finance, Power, and Water. Saurabh Bharadwaj has been given charge of eight departments including Urban Development, and Social Welfare, while Gopal Rai will continue to handle the Environment, alongside two other departments.

Kailah Gehlot has been allotted four departments namely Transport and Women and Child Development (WCD) and Imran Hussain has been assigned the Food Supply and Election departments.
New cabinet minister Mukesh Ahlawat took charge of five departments including SC/ST Welfare and Labour.
