Domestic Help Arrested After Lajpat Murder
The incident took a suspicious turn as the family’s domestic help, Mukesh, had gone missing since the murders. The 24-year-old accused has been apprehended by UP Police from a train at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction while he was on the run. Mukesh said he was scolded by Ruchika, and therefore, he committed the crime.
The sequence began when Ruchika’s husband, Kuldeep, returned home and found the main door locked from inside. He also noticed blood stains on the staircase, which raised his suspicion.
He immediately called the police around 9:40 PM on Wednesday night. Upon entering the house, police found Ruchika’s body in the bedroom and Krish’s body in the bathroom. Both had suffered fatal injuries.
The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem, while forensic teams examine the crime scene for clues. A murder case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
